Blacktress UK invites Blacktress family & friends of Blacktress to celebrate the achievements of Black women in theatre past & present.
2022 has been a year where we ask the question: how do we want to rebuild our creative spaces? Sometimes we’ve succeeded, sometimes we haven’t, but we thought a well-needed catchup was necessary. Joy is a must.
In 2023, Blacktress will be bringing back the BLACKTRESS SEASON in association with Seven Dials Playhouse, creating a season of work by Blacktresses on the multifaceted experience of Black British Women!! Come for a celebration of food, drink and kinship with the aim of continuing to nurture and grow our community.
There will also be:
- Stalls featuring Black women-led businesses
- Empowerment activities
- Celebration of shows by and featuring Blacktresses in 2022
- Performances by members of our community
- Information about BLACKTRESS SEASON 2023!
- Catering By Dais provides a gorgeous selection of canapés including gluten-free and vegan options
- DJ Kaspa plays the best in RnB, Hip Hop, Bashment, Soca and Afro beats

The Round Up takes place on Sunday 18 Dec 2022 | DOORS OPEN at 4pm and the event ends at 9pm(ish) | Tickets for this event are £9.50 with under 14’s free. Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult (if you are bringing someone under 14 with you to this event, please let us know by emailing hello@blacktress.co.uk).
