An ensemble of perfection, the Zulu dance and South African song bring together traditional and contemporary music from The House of Sisters Grimm (founded by Ella Spira MBE and Pietra Mello-Pittman).
The performers have arrived straight out of South Africa to remind us what it means to live life boldly and unapologetically; to work hard but play more! The songs are not translated for us and this means we are feeling and seeing and understanding what is being told with all of our senses and intuition. And I’m quite sure that we are not missing a beat!
Original music by the late Joseph Shabalala, founder of the Grammy- winning choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and choreography by Mark Baldwin OBE has the audience desperately wanting to get up on our feet and join in with the storytelling and celebrate the good, the bad and the sometimes sad.
