After a successful run at Theatre503 in Battersea during October, FOXES transfers to Theatre Peckham this week.

The gritty play which explores black masculinity, homosexuality and London’s street culture also closes the Young Gifted and Black Festival, currently in it’s 3rd year. The festival highlights the nuances of being Black in the UK, with a focus on stories about migration and belonging.

Daniel is a young Black man who’s sparring with change. When his relationship with his best friend Leon explodes everything is knocked off its axis, introducing a taboo into his family home that has the power to burst open closet doors and reveal secrets that could tear his loved ones – and his heart – apart.

Shortlisted for the Alfred Fagon Award, Dexter Flander’s provocative debut play explores Black masculinity, DL queer culture and the colonial legacy of Christianity in British-Caribbean multigenerational families.
