Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, renowned company Theatre-Rites collaborates with award-winning South African choreographer Gregory Maqoma on Return to the Forest.
Led by Maqoma’s high-energy movement and the magical puppetry of Director Sue Buckmaster (Chotto Desh), the production transports audiences from a museum where precious objects seem to call out to its visitors into the heart of a wild and magical forest, full of life and wonder.
Dance and puppetry combine to dazzling effect in this immersive, playful and thought-provoking encounter for families. Return to the Forest is an invitation to imagine what is precious and how we care for it.
