MW the musical! will be an unforgettable musical theatre experience at the Britten Theatre, Royal College of Music, London from Friday, March 29 to Sunday, March 31, 2024. The project is going to be an opportunity for the Nigeria diaspora community, other ethnic minorities and theatre goers to witness black actors, dancers and musicians of African and Nigerian origin as they bring the stage to life with their captivating talent to tell a compelling story that delves into the complexities of human relationships.

It weaves together the lives of four distinct families, offering a thought-provoking exploration of various issues in marriages and relationships. It is going to be a one-of-a-kind production that combines the enchanting blend of Afrobeats and Nigerian music with dance and drama. It will take audiences on an emotional journey like no other as they laugh, cry, and are deeply moved by the heartfelt performances of our exceptional Nigerian and British actors.

The project will bring together underrepresented talents. It will allow Nigerians, Africans and general theatre goers to experience a different type of musical. This unique blend of music style (Afrobeats) with dance and drama has the power to transport audiences, evoke deep emotions, and ignite a sense of wonder and identity. It is this that has led Dark Tunes to embark on this project that merges these captivating art forms into a single experience.
