Principal dancer Marcelino Sambé curates an evening of choreography at the Clore Studio, as part of The Royal Ballet’s celebrations for Black History Month. This project celebrates Black creators and emerging choreographers whose voices are shaping the future of our art form.
The evening will present the work of five choreographers, each offering a distinct choreographic voice. Choreographers will have the opportunity to develop the creation of new works or present existing works.
The works will be set to the music of Black composers and musicians. This theme is inspired by Sambé’s own journey exploring the legacy of Black musical artists across history.
