the Broadway are pleased to welcome Boy Blue Entertainments with their new production created especially for the Broadway, Deep Blue.
Inspired by their love of music and dance, coupled with a determination to help young people to develop their innate creative talent, Hip Hop dance Company Boy Blue Entertainment was founded in London in 2001 by choreographer Kenrick Sandy and music producer Michael Asante.
Boy Blue Entertainment is unique; the music and dance are created by the joint Artistic Directors, Kenrick Sandy and Michael Asante; the core Dancers and Performers have been with the Company since the Company was formed and are now individually some of the most sought after Hip Hop Artists in the UK; the extensive Education Programme and Community Outreach initiatives provides the Company with a wealth of burgeoning talent that keep the work totally connected to the community from which it emerged.
An enterprise that has grown out of the East London Community, Boy Blue Entertainment started running dance classes in Newham, East London, for young people who would otherwise not have had access to dance training, and in seven short years not only have over 500 young performers have been trained, but the work has been made public via the electrifying and engaging explosion of movement and music productions which have become Boy Blue’s trademark.
With the success of the Pied Piper Production the Company have firmly established themselves as one of the most exciting Dance Companies creating and presenting work at the cutting edge of contemporary culture.
