Positive Steps presents Curtain Up

Supported by Museums Libraries and Archives,The Mackintosh Foundation and Really Useful Theatres.

The event will primarily consist of an introductory presentation to over 200 years of Performing Arts in London, highlighting also the work of Ira Aldridge the first black Shakespearian actor 1824 , British Music Hall History and Les Ballets Negres Britain's first Black dance company 1946, the event will include film screenings, exhibitions, lecture presentations, a visit to the strong rooms and the conservation studio and a short introduction to conservation and handling of archival material.
