'We were all promised heaven in our lifetimes and what we ended up with can't help but suffer in comparison. And God You get old so quickly' (Generation X)
Sometimes it seems that the day to day takes over from the goals we once had. We get a job to tide us over, our expectations diminish and the trivial becomes inproportionately important. We mortgage our lives on fame and the quick fix, terrified of not making a 'success' of our lives, dealing with our responsibilities or finding our place. Maybe we will never change the world.
Are we stuck in a rut? Are our dreams unrealistic? Or is this just how growing up goes?
