Money Journey to the West

Described by the British tabloids as a ‘popera’, Monkey features a cast of over 40 performers, including acrobats, silk dancers, contortionists, volcano soldiers, skeleton demons, a Mongolian Kung Fu pig and a singing starfish. Written, conceived and directed by Chen Shi-Zheng, with music by Damon Albarn and design by Jamie Hewlett. Monkeys World - the bespoke tent theatre is home to a bar, restaurant and foot massage parlour.
