The hilarious screen sitcom, Meet the Adebanjo’s has now been adapted for the stage and has opened at Catford Broadway Theatre for all of the family to come along and have a laugh.

The British Nigerian family came alive on stage pulling us into their lounge where we feel as comfortable as if we were in our own homes. Mixing the fun complexities of Nigerian culture with the warmth of an original British family home, this production had me in stitches and nodding my head in recognition at familiar characters that most of us will recognise in our own families or communities.

The original cast performs brilliantly on stage together, keeping the audience holding their bellies with each laugh. Husband and wife tiffs, childish pranks, and the wholesomely entertaining Aunty Funke make this is a brilliant family comedy for every age and ethnicity.
