Sunday, 18 January, 2009

Arts Council England invites artists to take part in the 2009 decibel Performing Arts Showcase, which will take place in Manchester from 15-18 September 2009.The decibel Performing Arts Showcase is an Arts Council England initiative that offers a snapshot of England's culturally diverse performing arts talent to international arts professionals. The purpose of the decibel Performing Arts Showcase is to promote diverse practice in the performing arts sector. Produced with the support of x.trax, the showcase aims to more fully represent and reflect the different cultures and backgrounds that make our country unique in the world. The fourth decibel Performing Arts Showcase 2009 builds on the achievements of the past showcases, providing the opportunity for artists and companies to present their work to an international audience of promoters, artistic directors, producers and presenters who may book their work or collaborate with them to develop it further.

Artists and companies working at the cutting edge of music, theatre, dance, live art, circus, street arts and sited work are invited to submit their applications by 21 January 2009. Application packs are available from the website www.decibelpas.com.
