Beautiful Daughters was inspired by a young girl who called my radio show. Her relationship with her Mother wasn't a good one, she felt alone and vulnerable.
I've used my writing and directing skills, bringing attention to young girls who suffer silently from lack of confidence/ low self esteem.
I've had amazing feedback: Mothers, saying this play has healed the rift between my Daughter Fathers say, My Daughter needs me. The play's inspired many young people to look to the arts as an option.
Our children are constantly in the press for negativity. We need to record our work and progress, and deliver positive stories that aren't being told.
