For one night only (27 February, 7.00pm), join Mawa, the UK’s first all-Black, all-female Shakespeare company, in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for a Monologue Slam Night of classic pieces from Black and Black Mixed Race female artists.
Mawa will address how Black and Black Mixed Race Women are represented in classical text and explore how Shakespeare translates to Black audiences, producing content that focuses on themes within his works that correlate with the Black community. Fierce, fashionable, and funny!
