The winner of the 25th Alfred Fagon Award for Best New Play of the Year is Mojisola Adebayo for her play Family Tree.
Mojisola was presented with her award by the Patron of the Alfred Fagon Award, Baroness Floella Benjamin.
The Alfred Fagon Award is supported by the Peggy Ramsay Foundation.
The Alfred Fagon Award also announced the winner of the inaugural Mustapha Matura Award and Mentoring Programme is Chakira Alin.
Chakira received her award from Ingrid Selberg, wife of the late Mustapha Matura.
The Mustapha Matura Award and Mentoring Programme is supported by Estate of Mustapha Matura, Garrick Charitable Trust and The Henry Kent Trust and many individual donors.
The winners were announced at the award ceremony on Friday, 3rd December at Lyttelton Theatre, National Theatre, London, SE1 9PX.
